Charter

This project charter for the Connections Between Water and Rural Production project outlines our scope, objectives, and goals; and defines how we collaborate and work together to meet these objectives. We begin by outlining our mission and vision. Our core values, and the working principles we will use to support these core values, follow.

Mission

Our mission is to understand how changes in water availability impact human welfare and the land and resource decisions of small-scale farmers in the Brazilian Amazon, and how the responses of these farmers shape the regional climate and water resources.

Vision

Our vision is to provide researchers and policymakers with actionable knowledge about connections between water and rural production that can help local communities make informed decisions to improve human well-being while conserving Amazonian ecosystems.
